I have been a user of http://www.dpreview.com (Digital Photography Review) for years. This site has everything you need to make an informed decision about purchasing a digital camera. You can browse all the current makes and models, compare them and even see sample photographs from the cameras. They have forums that are broken down in to groups related to cameras, printers, etc. where you can learn more from fellow users. Give it a look. I do, several times a week.
